A front door can be a genuine showstopper, whether it’s a minimalistic piece to complement a modern architectural façade or a bold artistic statement. Wood is one of the centenarian materials used in art and construction industry. Before the advent of modern materials, such as plastic and metal, wood was one of the few materials available to artists and since the beginning of time, artists have recognized the potential of wood as a medium for their works – sculptures, wall decors, doors and other sphere of art.

When it comes to custom front door designs, most people opt for a door that compliments the existing architecture of their property.

Metal sculpture by Jinggoy Buensuceso – a sculptor and a visual artist. Evidently works with strong proponent of linear art by the use of metal. The components are produced through the expert use of welding machine and rod and the lyrical dynamic fabrication in his artwork’s reflections that is achieved through the natural dents from the burning process. Buensuceso represents the breed of new artists who are willing to explore beyond the confines of the canvas and that facet exemplifies his mark.

Dominic Rubio’s art reflects his deep affinity for heritage – known for his signature caricatures showcasing Filipino sensibilities which are local archetypes that are relatable and familiar. Depicting Filipino characters with colossal heads and elongated necks in traditional Filipiniana set in Old Manila, the demonstration brings to the region and its Filipino diaspora nationalism – a nostalgic remembrance of home and a homage to their native country’s diverse heritage, rich history and colourful traditions.

Renowned for his dynamic and expressive artworks, which often probe Filipino identity and culture. His pieces frequently feature fluid lines and bold forms, capturing the movement and emotion of his subjects, particularly in his depictions of Sabel, a recurring character symbolizing the struggles and resilience of the Filipino people.

A woman of many talents being both a painter and sculptor, Katrina Cuenca – known for her paintings and sculptures of flower-like forms on the apex of blossoming, undulating petals rendered in muted, soothing shades in metallic gold setting emanates significant feminism. Cuenca is best known for her abstract floral sculptures and paintings. Beyond her usual color palette, which varies from feminine to playful, and more recently, the use of light-absorbing black paint, gold leaf makes quite a striking appearance in her catalog of works.
