COOLIDGE, WEST GREENHILLS SAN JUAN

Some homes don’t need to be rebuilt — they need to be reimagined. That was the mandate IEO received for this renovation: to take a residence already rich in classical structure and breathe into it a new generation of living. The client’s vision was not to erase what existed, but to elevate it — retaining the architectural grammar of panelled walls, coffered ceilings, and formal proportions while replacing every surface, finish, and furnishing with something that felt both current and deeply personal. From the foyer’s blue-and-white Delft-inspired credenza anchored against boiserie panelling, to the living room’s tiered crystal ring chandeliers casting their amber light over a refined grey palette, each space was repositioned to feel like it had always belonged — only better.

IEO’s renovation strategy moved deliberately through every layer of the home. The dining room was transformed into a collector’s stage — a backlit marble feature wall, a sculptural gilded branch installation, and a matte black crystal chandelier repositioning the room from formal to quietly theatrical. The game room, once underutilised, emerged as one of the home’s most characterful spaces: crocodile-embossed wall panels, a statement billiard table in dark lacquered wood, and bronze-inlaid marble floors lending it the atmosphere of a private members’ club. Outside, the pergola and pool terrace were resolved into a seamless indoor-outdoor retreat — spare, modern, and unapologetically resort-like. What IEO delivered was not a renovation in the conventional sense, but a reinvention: the same bones, an entirely new soul.
